Joyce's Pound Cake

Back to Dave's Favorite Recipes.

3/4 cup butter

2 1/2 cup sugar

5 eggs

2 1/2 cups flour

1/2 pint whipping cream

1 Teaspoon Vanilla

1/2 Teaspoon Lemon Extract

1/2 Teaspoon almond extract

 

1-Cream butter and sugar until light and fluffy.

2-Add eggs, one at a time, mixing well after each addition.

3-Add 1 1/4 cup flour and 1/2 cup whipping cream (mix well).

4-Add remaining flour, whipping cream, extracts (mix well).

5-Pour into a greased and floured pan. (Place into a cold oven)

6-Bake at 350° about 90-minutes or until cake tester comes out clean.

7-Cool for about 10-minutes.

8-Turn onto a serving plate, sprinkle with powdered sugar and serve.
