President George W. Bush Visits Lafayette March 9, 2001

President George W. Bush visited the City of Lafayette giving a 23-minute speech in the Paul Fournet Hanger located at the Lafayette Regional Airport. The President was here to gain support for his tax reduction bill that had just passed the House of Representatives by receiving votes from all the Republicans and 10 Democrats. It was an honor and privilege for us to have the President of the United States in the Hub City just 2 months into his administration.

We were located about 40 feet from the stage when these pictures were taken. They were shot using a Sony Digital DCR-TRV320 Video Camera with a 450X zoom lens. The video pictures were transferred from video to still after the event had ended.
